The challenge
Education offers children a ladder out of poverty and a path to a promising future. Unfortunately, about 264 million children around the world do not have the opportunity to enter or complete school. They are thwarted by poverty, gender inequality, conflicts, discrimination, emergencies and even the effects of climate change.
ECCL believes that every child has the right to education regardless of who they are or where they are from. ECCL works in South-East Asia to provide learning opportunities from early childhood on and equip children with knowledge and skills needed to develop well and thrive.
The solution
For girls who grow up in a less fortunate family, staying in school can protect them from child marriage, abuse, oppression and continued poverty.
For boys, living on the streets or in slums, schooling instead of child labor can provide them with the skills needed for a better-paying and more fulfilling job as an adult. For any children in emergencies, education offers safety, a sense of normalcy and the knowledge needed to build a more peaceful future. Hence our slogan: "Education Can Change Lives".
ECCL collaborates with partners to develop educational systems that provide the world’s most disadvantaged children with learning opportunities that will change their lives, and the lives of their children as well.
Our Story
ECCL is a group of volunteers from different backgrounds and nationalities with a common goal to help children's education.
Every year, we take two weeks off from work in March, to help local communities in South-East Asia.
We build libraries, schools, wells, shops, food-carts and homes; fix roofs, walls, gates and fences and distribute stationary, slippers and clothes.
Everything we do is made possible through the generous support of sponsors and donors, institutional and corporate partners, and loyal friends worldwide. Your help is needed too!

From the Founder
It breaks my heart to see small children on dirty streets without proper clothes, working for change to survive tomorrow, instead of playing with other kids, getting proper education or exploring the world while some "struggle" to choose the color for their 5th Ferrari in their garage collection.
Without schooling or any skill training, they are not only losing their childhood but also the chance for a better life and the world may lose another Einstein.
I started volunteering every March from 2004 to help children get a proper education they deserve but was disheartened and dispirited by the greed of people involved in the projects, stealing from the donations for their own benefits.
ECCL was founded in 2016 with the sole purpose to steer clear of people showing support and empathy to children in need but have their hands in our pockets, stealing from us (the children) whenever they see a chance.
ECCL makes it sure that every single penny received from family, friends and generous donors is treasured and used to benefit the least fortunate children.
